Locke Lane
The residence is located in the venerable neighborhood of River Oaks and across from a local park affectionately known as ‘Pumpkin Park.’ The house occupies a corner lot surrounded by mature Live Oak trees. An ‘L’ shaped plan opens up to these trees exposing the first and second floor to a walled courtyard. The contemporary house honors the scale of its traditional neighbors and incorporates slurried brick along with steel windows. The interiors are clean allowing reclaimed wood floors and stained concrete to live comfortably together in a gallery-like setting.
