Dunstan Road
The residence is located in a corner lot in Southampton, a small neighborhood near Rice University. The house orientation opens to the side street with a walled courtyard and expansive Live Oak trees. The house is Tudor in style and maintains the scale and historic eclecticism of the neighborhood. Brick with a slurry finish, limestone accents, wood casement windows, and redwood details were used throughout the exterior.
The interior is illuminated by a leaded-glass skylight that floods the entrance stair hall with light. Wood paneling, plaster ceiling moldings, wide plank oak floors, white Carrera marble, and steel handrails provide period detail to the interiors.
